We are celebrating our wedding anniversary this weekend—17 years!!! Can you believe it?! Don't we just look like little spring chickies? :) Thanks.
What's funny is that Jon and I grew up about two miles away from each other nearly our whole lives but we didn't meet until college. He was friends with my brother who introduced us. Jon was in graduate school where I went to undergrad. We have had such a long and emotional road in our marriage and we stay strong through it. We have moved across the country, lost parents, gone through sobriety together, had two beautiful children, and continue to make each other laugh.
We're going to have our friend stay with the boys while we get away for just a night. I cannot wait. We've only done this a handful of times since having kids and I want to make it more of a tradition to spend overnights away from them. Plus it's fun for the boys to be around their friend-family here because they always bend the rules and make it a night to remember!
I see the most interesting things on my runs and some of the coolest yard art. These Laurel and Hardy statues are almost the same ones my mom had in our basement as a kid.
Jon outside of his comfort zone many years ago at the summit of Mt. Shasta!
Look at these old pictures I found. I mean, come on boys! You're killin' me with these pitiful looks. These pictures were both taken on their first week at childcare at the exact same school.
This weekend I've told The Due he needs to commit to which Halloween costume he wants this year. Making them tends to be a hairdo of an occasion. My mom has pitched in for some of them including spaghetti/meatballs and the matador. Jon and I did the robot together.
And finally here's an old race photo from 2005 I think? Those red shorts. I wore them until they were threadbare. For some reason it's very hard for me to find comfortable running shorts.
And how was YOUR day?
