Croc and I spent our last full day alone before Jon/The Dude come home by going to the beach! And the San Francisco weather couldn't have been better! I'm not running today so I'll squeeze in a little yoga and/or strength training tonight.
We woke up early (thanks Croc!) and danced to some My Little Pony songs while I packed for the beach. My go-to breakfast when I'm running out the door is a flax waffle with peanut butter and fresh fruit. Croc was demanding a bite before I even put the knife in the sink. Jon and I refer to the boys as 'crumb snatchers.'
I know a very secret parking spot at Baker Beach where you can easily access a sandy spot without dealing with the parking lot. I'm not going to reveal it but let's just say it's rockstar parking every time. Croc was dying to get in the water, but every time a wave came anywhere close to us he screamed hysterically. So we remained dry. He showed me this "cave" which his daddy showed him. The sand was hot so Croc decided to crawl to the cave.
Someone made a pretty sculpture out of driftwood. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of a whale (there have been a ton of sightings in the Bay lately) but no luck. We talked about ice cream a lot of the afternoon and I promised Croc we'd get one on the way home with continued good behavior. For 10 minutes he talked about ice cream and how he was so excited to eat it! Then when we got there he decided on a vanilla cupcake. He must have inherited the game-day-decisioning from me!
We are so pumped for Jon and The Dude to return!
