I try to work from home once a week (as previously mentioned, I work for a pretty fantastic employer that allows me this flexibility). There are so many reasons why it's nice to step away from the office sometimes and work from a different venue. Here are my top reasons:
I knew I was going to run today so I opted for a carb-y breakfast - an Alvarado Street Bakery sprouted cinnamon raisin bagel. These are so good. I only wish they were pre-cut. You should see the amount of crumbs I produce and how badly I butcher it when I cut it. I am a totally selfish strawberry eater. I always pick out and eat the ones that are the biggest, juiciest, most red looking - leaving the shriveled ones with questionable dirt patches for everyone else :(
Since I was WFH I took advantage of it to run - literally - to pick up The Dude. It was a beautiful albeit short run. I intended to do five but I only did three because I was worried I'd be late. The views were stunning. Well done, San Francisco.
Seeing this smiley little face absolutely made my day. He is a great kid.
After a dinner of steak and eggs with bagels for the men (we do breakfast for dinner A LOT at our house!), I opted for a Clif Bar and a handful of trail mix. Then I did this 20-minute butt and thigh workout. I have no rhyme or reason to the videos I pick on YouTube so if anyone has recommendations for good workout sites, let me know! One thing these random video selections have taught me is that even the most outdated, laughably simple-looking workout videos can be the most brutal. This one had 3 minutes of wall sits in it that completely tore up my legs. I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow!
