The sun and sky are doing some weird things in the Bay Area. The weather folks are calling it a bloody sun. It is SMOKY outside from all the Sonoma county fires! The schools are keeping the kids in from recesses and we are keeping our windows closed. I did not have even 15 minutes unscheduled today so I did not get to the gym and therefor am going totally stir crazy not being able to run outside. Tomorrow I am getting up early to hit the gym. It is medically necessary at this point.
Current headline situation:
I did some strength training in my room before the males got home, and then made tacos for dinner—ground beef for their protein and white beans for mine! I topped mine with some vegan cream cheese which tastes sort of like sour cream to me.
Then a quick walk with Croc to drop off a check for The Dude's tennis lessons. I love that he just takes off for practice with no fuss or fight. He really enjoys playing.
And I came home to put on my favorite comfy shirt and pay my respect to Mr. Bill Murray. Super fan here.
The boys played a fierce game of Gone Fishing while I did lunch box assembly line. We're already planning our weekend and I'm going to have to figure out something for my long run... I'm thinking of paying a drop-in rate at a gym so I can use the treadmill in an air-filtered building. Many years ago I used to work with the Air Quality Management organization in San Francisco and let me tell you bad air quality is no joke! Stay safe.
At some point this weekend we are going to pick out pumpkins! I also think I need to add about a million more Halloween decorations to our house. I love this picture of The Dude and me when I was pregnant with Croc. We are at our favorite pumpkin patch which is sadly being affected by the fires right now. I loved being pregnant but we are definitely done in the kid department. Now it's time to sit back and enjoy our beautiful family!
And of course we used my huge belly as a prop for our family costume... Peter Venkman, Slimer, and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man reporting for duty.
As I was typing the word 'marshmallow' and double checking that it's an 'a' before 'l' and not an 'e.' Do you have this problem? No matter how many times I type or write certain words, their spelling never stays in my head.
Here are 10 Words I will Never Spell Correctly the First Time:
And I also still say "Never Eat Soggy Waffles" to remember North East South West. Did you learn directions that way?
Okay, folks, it's Wednesday and you know what that means... "Oh sh*t! I forgot I have to send the PTA newsletter!" night for me. Hope you have a great evening!
